The body is innately healthy.
The soul is innately good.
The mind is bombarded with adds, fads, and egos.
Rethink. Re-center. Revive!
And let it start with the relationship to self.
Care. Compassion. Respect. Love.
Yes, food is important, but physical, mental, and emotional well-being play important roles as well. I recently heard an interesting TED talk by Robert Waldinger titled What makes a good life? Lessons from the longest study on happiness. It's an ongoing, 75-year study of what makes true happiness. What they found is that those who lived the longest and the most healthfully had strong, dependable, loving relationships with others.
It's not just about food, but care, compassion, respect, and love.
But how do we build this kind of relationship when we don't first care, love, and have compassion for our own self?
Self love starts by listening to the wisdom of your body. Do you sleep when she/he is tired? Eat only when she/he is hungry and stop when full? Do you dance when her/his heart sings and cry when she/he is sad. The body has infinite wisdom and ancient knowing of what is best for her/him. I challenge you to not overwrite her/his signals, but lovingly tend to them.
May you find love and live long and strong ~
